The Simpsons Family Guy Crossover
I dont know about you but Im pretty excited for the Sept. 28 season premiere of Family Guy. Theyre going to send the Griffins to Springfield for an hour of comedy and a chicken fight to remember between Peter and Homer.
Heres the almost 5 minute teaser we were given back in July:
The characters bond over doughnuts, Bart and Stewie team up for trouble, Lisa teaches Meg how to play the sax, and Homer and Peter shoot the bull over beer.
According to Al Jean, the showrunner of the long-running animated show, "We let [the Family Guy team] do their thing with the script. Both shows are all about satire. We werent about to say, You cant make fun of us!"
"We sent them the script, and I think between Jim [Brooks], Matt [Groening], and Al [Jean], they had one or two lines in the hour-long episode they asked us to tweak. They gave us free rein..."
In addition to this, the Simpsons and Family Guy creators Matt Groening and Seth MacFarlane were asked to draw each other and this is what we got:
