Take a moment to Google "iOS 7 waterproof". Do it. Its worth it.

Yes. Someone Photoshopped some fake iOS 7 ads to tell people that a software update would make their phone waterproof. And some other people, who may in fact not be as insightful as they possibly could be, believed it. So now thousands of articles saying that, no, a software update will not change the physical properties of your phone.

Anonymous evil ad maker with Photoshop, I wish I could shake your hand. Heres why.

The Internet is an immensely new, hugely important mode of human communication, but we dont yet know how to use it. People dont understand this about the Internet: It is half lies. At best.

Most people who saw the fake ad read it, smiled, and moved on. A few people, however, believed it. They took their phone in the shower. The device was destroyed. They learned a valuable lesson, in a way that wont soon be forgotten, and all it cost them was a few hundred bucks.

And you know something? Maybe they will be less like my older relatives, who never read anything in e-mail so ludicrous they didnt believe it.

I promise you this. One of these days, someone who trashed their phone will get a message saying vaccines are killers, or a guy in Nigeria wants to give them a hundred million bucks, or that they should quit the chemo for their Stage 3 breast cancer because eating enough lemons will take care of it (yes, real example). Maybe, dare to dream, when this happens they will think about their phone and maybe, just maybe hit Delete. Like they should.

It is a small price to pay for a lesson of such value.

Oops. Sorry. What I meant to say was, its real. You can install iOS 7 on your iPhone and give it to your kids to play in the bathtub. Go try it. You know its true, because you just read it.

The Nintendo Wii will not care which country you buy it or its game in, it play play any game, any where. Thats right, the Nintendo Wii will be Reigon Free (yes that did deserve capitalization). From Wireds Joel Johnson:

Wired had the opportunity to sit down after with Nintendo Vice-President of Marketing & Corporate Affairs�not to mention affable conference host�Perrin Kaplan to ask a few questions that werent addressed in the press conference.

� Will the Wii be region-free? Yes. Like the Nintendo DS, the Wii will be able to play games from other regions, such as Japan, without any restriction. Kaplan implied there might be a region lock that publishers would be able to flip on, but it doesnt sound like the first-party titles from Nintendo will be restricted.

Ok, not as good as I made it sound since it seems like publishers could still restrict certain games to certain territories but its better than the alternative.

3. The Fashionistas:
OMG! These ones will make you look at your wardrobe to burn all your clothes, They only upload pictures of them in dazzling and expensive outfits. They look like celebrities. They have popular captions they add to their pictures, e.g s#dope #slay and many more English words turn slang.

4.Make Up Freaks:
These ones are naturally ugly, pardon me for using the word �ugly�. But with the help of some heavy make ups, they become angel with spotless skin suddenly. Many at times, they put the picture of them without make up beside the one they�ve done the make up to show you the power of their new transformation.

5.Love Birds:
I pray these ones make heaven. Because they will only be intimidating you with pictures of them and their lovers in hot intimate mood, that would leave you wan to cry to God to answer your prayer as you are also single and searching.

6.Travelers:
Honestly I don�t understand how someone will upload a picture now and the location will show Lagos, and few minutes later they upload another picture and show Abuja. Moments later another location will show, I just pray one day, they don�t land in Sambisa.

7. Entrepreneurs:
You will have to check their accounts back to a year ago before you can see their real pictures. They only fllod their accounts with pictures of the products they sell. They can upload 50 pictures at a time. What annoys me most is that they don�t add price to heir products even if you have interest in buying them, you would have to add them via whatsapp or BBM to talk to them so later they will keep disturbing your life with BC messages.
