One when another vulnerability in golem has raised numerous questions about its safety. golem users square measure currently, thinking is it safe to use or not?

Researchers from Trend small, a security firm, have uncovered one more golem mediaserver vulnerability in its versions a pair of.3 to 5.1.1, that they need same, may permit attackers to run their code with an equivalent permissions that the mediaserver program already has as a part of its traditional routines.
However, Google has patched the vulnerability via the golem Open supply Project (AOSP).

According to the researchers, the vulnerability comes with the AudioEffect, a element of the mediaserver program. It uses associate unrestrained variable that comes from the consumer, that is sometimes associate app. so as to attack, the assaulter should convert the victim to put in associate app that doesnt need any needed permissions, giving them a false sense of security.

Since the mediaserver element deals with plenty of media-related tasks as well as taking footage, reading MP4 files, and recording videos, the privacy of the victim is also in danger. Devices with custom-made  versions of golem however with no modification created to the mediaserver element also are affected, they same.

The researchers have steered that so as to dam the threat, the golem users will transfer Trend small Mobile Security (TMMS), which may discover threats making an attempt to use this vulnerability and running any of the eventualities conferred. they will conjointly boot their device mistreatment safe mode to uninstall the malicious app.

We conjointly suggest that device makers patch their devices often to stop their users from littered with attacks that use this vulnerability, they explained.

its same that the new flaw is kind of like those 3 alternative major vulnerabilities in Androids mediaserver element that detected recently. CVE-2015-3823 may permit attackers to lure phones in endless reboots and ANDROID-21296336 might render devices silent. Lastly, CVE-2015-3824 dubbed Stagefright may be accustomed install malware through a multimedia system message

One after another vulnerability in Android has raised various questions about its safety. Android users are now, thinking is it safe to use or not?
Researchers from Trend Micro, a security firm, have uncovered yet another Android mediaserver vulnerability in its versions 2.3 to 5.1.1, which they have said, could allow attackers to run their code with the same permissions that the mediaserver program already has as part of its normal routines.
However, Google has patched the vulnerability via the Android Open Source Project (AOSP).
According to the researchers, the vulnerability comes with the AudioEffect, a component of the mediaserver program. It uses an unchecked variable which comes from the client, which is usually an app. In order to attack, the attacker must convince the victim to install an app that doesnt require any required permissions, giving them a false sense of security.
Since the mediaserver component deals with a lot of media-related tasks including taking pictures, reading MP4 files, and recording videos, the privacy of the victim may be at risk. Devices with customized versions of Android but with no modification made to the mediaserver component are also affected, they said.
The researchers have suggested that in order to block the threat, the Android users can download Trend Micro Mobile Security (TMMS), which can detect threats trying to use this vulnerability and running any of the scenarios presented. They can also reboot their device using safe mode to uninstall the malicious app.
We also recommend that device manufacturers patch their devices regularly to prevent their users from suffering from attacks that use this vulnerability, they explained.
It is said that the new flaw is quite similar to those three other major vulnerabilities in Androids mediaserver component that detected recently. CVE-2015-3823 could allow attackers to trap phones in endless reboots and ANDROID-21296336 may render devices silent. Lastly, CVE-2015-3824 dubbed Stagefright can be used to install malware through a multimedia message

The one that is solely for Jemmerd

The one that is solely for Jemmerd

It is. I am incredibly grateful to our resident old-timer hunter Jemmerd. You see... Ive been running Zul Gurub for a while now (not counting or anything, but this was attempt number 49). I usually need to pressure someone into helping me form a raid - otherwise they wont let me defile it.

This time Jemmerd offered to help out. And fully expecting him to go on a mining expedition, I started killing stuff. I had really not expected him to join me in there - but thankfully he did. It goes so much faster if you have a proper dps class along and dont have to rely on the massive protection warrior dps.

Far less than half the time for the raptor boss. And of course, being here for the first time in ages, it dropped the mount.

These are my lovely guildies we are talking about (and loot was set to free for all), so of course I offered to roll for it. I have to admit a certain amount of unhappiness, but that doesnt matter. But look. Lookatit! He just laughed and congratulated me. Wheeeeeeeeee!

All mine!

The Image That You See Here Is Not a Photograph

 photoreal image

You may not believe your eyes but the image above is not a photograph, its just a painting of a non-real person done using airbrush, not Photoshop.

Dru Blair took around 70 hours to paint this beautiful photorealistic image - look at the eyes, skin tones, hair curls.. they look so real.

Dru has the details on how he completed this painting dubbed "Tica" - Photorealism at its best.

The future is fidgetal

Man behind computer

"Technology, and the hype that surrounds it, is changing the way we speak. But we dont have to turn into drones, all spouting the latest i-word. Chris Bowlby says its time for the techno-bullied to fight back with their own subversive speak.

With the online Oxford English Dictionary recently re-launched and on the look-out for new language, maybe its time for a counter-revolution.

Can we create a new vocabulary that expresses not marketing mania, but the downside, the frustration, the terrible things we sometimes suspect modern technology is doing to us?

When your cursor makes you a curser, do the necessary words come to mind?

Lets start to talk about the crazily fidgetal, the MisApps, mobile drones and Skypeochondria that afflict us all.

The future of human computer interaction is near

The future of human computer interaction is near

Leap, developed by Leap Motion, is a product that creates a virtual 3D space in which you can interarct with your Computer by gestures and hand movements. As small as an iPod it even looks awesome and I am pretty sure this could become mainstream, just as tablet PCs have. I dont want to say much more, the video says way more than a thousand words possibly could. Its supposed to be accurate to 1/100 of a millimeter and is said to be priced at $69.99 with a limited number of devices available for preorder. According to their FAQs, Linux support is "on the agenda". Fingers crossed!

The Pointlessness of Physical Dying Light Is Great A Cyclops Appears

The Pointlessness of Physical Dying Light Is Great A Cyclops Appears

*

Random thought -- Ive been a collector of physical games (meaning discs, cartridges, and so on) for quite a while, but Ive noticed over the last year or two that I havent really been going after it like I used to. Part of it is that more and more of the games that I like (usually smaller, experimental or niche titles) only exist in an electronic download format, but another part of it is the changing nature of the games themselves.

For anyone whos even been even halfway paying attention, the number of games that routinely ship with bugs and glitches these days is absurd. Theres absolutely no question that developers and publishers see "ship it now, patch it later" as a normal, acceptable thing now, and in light of this, I see less and less value in having a physical disc. I mean, whats the point of owning the plastic when so many games dont work properly without huge day-one patches.

Ive always enjoyed collecting, not only because I like the art and because these games are kind of like trophies on my wall, but because I always thought that at some point in the future Id be able to plug in some old systems and share these games with my kids and grandkids -- or in a worst-case scenario, Id have something to keep me busy while I hide out in my post-apocalyptic bunker. Thats just not possible anymore.

Oh sure, there are still plenty of discs to buy and the cases still look just as pretty, but knowing that a large number of them wont work or that theyll have significant problems without being connected to the Internet has taken some spark out of it The same enjoyment just isnt there.

Its kind of a sad realization after so many years of collecting, but I have to admit that theres no real purpose in dropping cash on what are effectively coasters Are we to the end of the "functional software in a box" era? Perhaps.

Although the Dying Light review for @Gamecritics was handled by @GC_Danny, Ive been eager to play it for a while, and I just started it a few days ago.

Before I began, I was a little dismayed to see so many mediocre or indifferent reviews, and my Twitter feed was full of writers who were not shy about mentioning how bored they were, or how brown the game was. I took note of those criticisms, but at the same time, Dead Island (from the same developers) was a game that I deeply, deeply enjoyed and the critical sphere took great joy in crapping all over that, despite the fact that it went on to become a huge success with fans and spawned several offshoots.

Suffice it to say, I expected that the same pattern might repeat here and Im glad I didnt listen to the naysaying because Ive been enjoying the hell out of it.

Calling a spade a spade, its quite fair to say that Dying Light is Dead Island 2.0 with parkour added.  However, the parkour is pretty fab. Its great to be able to jump and climb on basically anything in the environment, and outmaneuvering zombies never gets old. Dodging through a crowd, climbing up to the top of a broken-down bus or nearby building, and then dropping Molotovs down from the roof delivers a laugh every time.

Many of the criticisms I read also talked about poor writing and a bad story Although Im still quite early in the main campaign, I cant see what all the complaining was about. Though the main plot isnt anything revolutionary, it gets the job done more than respectably.

Apart from that, Ive been finding the sidequests to be fascinating. Lots of unusual situations and interesting characters have been popping up, not to mention more than a little comedy. Although Im usually the type of person who goes down the critical path in most games, Ive been having a great deal of fun going from quest to quest and seeing what they have to offer.

Some of them are simple fetches (and I skip most of those) but a surprising number have a lot of dialogue, and its great to see some of the same characters popping up over and over again. One guy who gets his arm cut off by the main villain pops up later, he remembers that I was there, and he references past events before engaging me in what hes doing now. Its kind of awesome. By following these quests I get loads of story mini-arcs, and its satisfying to see how these characters are faring.

On the other hand, I can see how playing too much of this game at a time could wear someone out, which I suspect led to a lot of the reviewer apathy. Im sure that if I was trying to beat the game on a deadline, eight or ten hours of it a day of it would get old really quickly. Since Im just playing for fun (what a novel idea!) Ive been pacing myself to doing two or three missions night, and sometimes indulging in some of the random events that pop up as well. (There are lots!)At this pace, it still feels fresh and engaging, and I look forward to playing every night. In fact, it feels almost like going through the adventure in real-time, day by day.

While Im generally happy overall, the game doesnt offer a manual save (GRR!) and it doesnt always autosave when I make it to a safe house its the most insane decision ever.

Another criticism which comes to mind is that the developers need to let go of their preference towards weapon degradation. Weapons fall apart really quickly at the beginning, and while that can be eased over time with certain skills and better gear later on, I dont think the systems here really add all that much to the formula. I mean, I end up carrying 12 weapons in my backpack because Im afraid the one Im using is going to fall apart, so theres no real tension or risk/reward there.

I also think less environmental scavenging would be good. I find myself sometimes blowing past areas which have loot just because I dont want to take the time to search or leave myself open to zombie attack, and when I do scavenge, its usually a bunch of the same stuff I mean, theres no thrill in finding my 75th bag of coffee beans, you know? Perhaps fewer opportunities to loot but with greater rewards would be a better way to go, making it feel like more of a special thing and less of a chore.

Overall, Im really, really enjoying Dying Lightand its been delivering pretty much everything that I wanted from it, and even more in some respects. If youre even remotely inclined towards giving it a try, I say do so.

*

In other games news: Still playing Monster Hunter 4: Ultimate (of course) although after logging about 120 hours, Im slowing down a bit. The battles are getting tougher and its requiring more strategy, so Im waiting for some of my fellow hunters to catch up before doing some of the group stuff.

Also, still playing Marvel Puzzle Quest. Just recruited Cyclops to the team earlier this evening. Its been quite a while since I read any X-books, so I was surprised by his costume.

Id never seen this one before and I have absolutely no idea whats going on in the world of the X-Men, but he was always a character that I enjoyed so it was great to see him again. Seems like hes got some nifty powers coming too.

Speaking of which, my Luke Cage is almost maxed, and although I wasnt sure about him at first, hes become a recent favorite. If you play the game, my build for him is 5/3/5 because he hits like a wrecking ball in yellow and black, and Id rather have that high offensive output rather than the little bits of defense over time that his red provides.

*

Couple of quick links -- the first one is for Monster Hunter weapon tutorials from @AEvanko. Ive linked to this before, but these tutorials are superb and Im going to continue to share as much information as I can in the hope of getting more people to play Monster Hunter!

The second link is the Persona 5 trailerwhich is so goddamn stylish that it hurts. I wasnt sure how I was feeling about the idea of another Persona game after putting so much time into three and four, but one look at that trailer and I was instantly pumped. Fantastic stuff!

Finally, here are the latest reviews to hit @Gamecritics:

> My review of Rollers of the Realm (Vita)

> @KayinAmohs review of Guilty Gear Xrd Sign (PS4)

> Criminial Girls: Invite Only (Vita) also from @KayinAmoh

The love affair with freenx is over time to make the marriage work

The love affair with freenx is over time to make the marriage work

It seems that not much survives contact with students!

Basically if the freenx session isnt correctly terminated or established then desktop processes and a nx process are left running to the server which will prevent them logging in again.

However I am not the first person to notice this:

PSI Labs who use the technology have developed a RPM of scripts to manage this properly called nxcleanup. A user session has the standard number of processes for the desktop however there is an associated nx process that the student doesnt own. So the script nxclean would need to be run as root.

How do I enable a student to run a script as root that wipes out processes of an arbitary user?

Simple: Use a setuid "shim"! Write a trivial C program that takes no inputs (or has very, very thorough sanity checking!) which identifies the current user using posix calls and then execs the script after passing it the current username. Nifty eh? This is a standard way of making scripts run safely as root. Ill post it as soon as I am done.

The Process is the Product

The Process is the Product

There were many A-Ha moments in the lead up to UnPlugd, but the tipping point to the event, was the decision to revisit collaborative publishing. The publishing of ones own words, refined to sit alongside the ideas of passionate peers, would become the pinpoint focus for our time at the Edge.

The resulting product, which is being released one chapter at a time over the next 6 weeks, is a book that encapsulates many of the things that participating Canadian educators think matter most. While you would think that bringing tech-savvy educators together to tell stories, and to think, and to share might lead to discussion about the latest technological tools, there was nary a mention of Google+ or any other emerging tool. The weekend was about connecting and learning.

Our book title: Why ___________ Matters gave each participant the opportunity to fill in the blank. This differentiated writing and story-telling task led to the exploration of a wide range of topics that resonated through the passionate participation of delegates. None-the-less, our collaborative book will leave many unconsidered blanks including:

Why imperfection matters;
Why commitment matters;
Why stories matter;
Why authenticity matters;
Why healthy choices matter;
Why risk-taking matters;
Why circles matter.

UnPlugd was intentionally structured to engage participants in increasingly personal conversations, that in the end led participants to share stories and writing that would make possible the end result: a book. By traveling together, dining together, singing together, paddling together, washing dishes together, doing yoga together, watching the night sky together, we became a more tightly knit tribe.

In a following post, Ill be writing about the flexible but carefully structured lesson plan for UnPlugd, but there is one big, big thing Id like #unplugd11 participants to consider: How can you bring similar community building experiences to your classroom in the coming school year?

Will you make time to share personal stories?
Will your classroom leverage circle-ness?
Will you embrace opportunities to share healthy food together?
Will you model and support risk-taking?
Will you foster an environment that harnesses individual accountability to the group?
Will you be fully attentive to the needs of colleagues and students?

Will you build community through ordinary actions, in order to create an extraordinary learning environment?

The Machine is Indeed Using Us

The Machine is Indeed Using Us

Does this title sound familiar? Its very similar to Michael Weschs viral video from a few years ago: The Machine is Us/ing Us. When I first saw this video in 2008, it inspired me to write a series of posts about how users of the World Wide Web, were Teaching the Machine. Now, just three years later, it seems as if the machine has become smart enough to customize the information it provides to each of us.

Yesterday, after hearing Wesch describe how his video went viral, participants at Canada 3.0 were called by Sonija Monga, to reflect on how we derive meaning and insights from our networks.

By virtue of my membership in a network that is already functioning as a bit of a like-minded hive, I discovered an answer to my question thanks to a tweet from Alec Couros, Take nine minutes to consider Eli Parisers warning: Beware online "filter bubbles"

I dont know if the machine can yet answer these questions, but there are many things we need to think about:

Is there a problem with each user being the recipient of customized service from a news provider; an online store; a search engine?
Does the machine know enough to provide us not only with relevant results, but also with an unbiased determination of the most important content?
How good are our personal learning network at discovering content from varying points of view?
How might a young persons unseen profile and early online habits, affect their future online experiences?

The Nexus 5 is officially dead

The Nexus 5 is officially dead

Ever since the Google Nexus 5s availability began wavering late last year, weve been expecting to see it dropped entirely, and now that day has finally come.
Just like Google promised, the former flagship remained on sale for most of 2015s first quarter, but now its MIA in Googles Play store and Googles brand new non-Play store.
"The Nexus 5 is no longer available for purchase," the phones page now reads.
And its not the only Google product thats disappeared; the first Chromebook Pixel, a high-end Chrome OS laptop, is also gone, as Ubergizmo points out.
It seems Google was in the mood for some spring cleaning this week, which could have something to do with the introduction today of a new Chromebook Pixel with a USB Type-C connector.
And theres always the Nexus 6, a bigger and better Google flagship that will surely remain on top - until the next thing comes along, at least.

The Twilight Hammer really is in for it now

The Twilight Hammer really is in for it now

This post is a response to The Eleventh Hour challenge/fun. Ill try and ramble about the past, present and future of Darkwhisper gorge. Considering my normal posting style is not exactly known for its roleplaying aspects - consider this a first. Lets see what cometh of it, shall we?

Alright. So you are here to learn, arent you? Sit down then and shut up. An old friend of mine has told me you had some trouble with the demonic presence here in Desolace? Ran into a fistful of Burning Blade supporters as well, I take it, and now morale is low, the booze is out and it all looks like a damned dustbowl of an area?

See the bright side: Aristta thought it would be a good idea to send an old dwarf down here to show you what its all about. Means at least one thing. I brought enough Shimer Stout to cheer you lads up a little.

There is a downside as well, of course. This is Desolace. It is a damn dustbowl. But if you manage to listen up for a while youll be heading off to the next front in a few weeks time. Youll be ready to enter the first stronghold of the Scarlet Crusade or start working on the Gorishi infestation down in the south.

Now about those cultists...

Youve all been fighting all your life. You know what to do, you know how to react. You possibly even remember to keep your healers alive - although they do look a bit sissy in their silly robes. So what could an old dwarf like me possibly tell you about?

Well... I can tell you about history. Ancient history, really. See, back when I was a wee little lad with hardly any armour to my name and still lusting for gold and a stout dwarven girl to take home I was worried about everything as well. I was afraid of places, got scared by dinosaurs chewing on my friends and terrified by an ancient female iron golem in some caves under the Badlands.

Of course, back then I was willing to travel to the ends of the world as well, at the whims of just about anyone. Take this little goblin in Ungoro, for instance. He sent me off to bring news about a prime bath location to an aquaintance of his in Winterspring. The other end of the world really. But for a bag of silver and a pat on the back ...

Anyway, I digress. I made my way there, met a lovely dwarven girl as well. A lass called Donova Snowden. She was apparently investigating the special powers of the local hot springs - and who am I to refuse a lady, especially when she thoroughly wants to investigate steaming hot water? Still got an old faded picture of her right here, look.

She sent me off to do some exploration for her as well - mentioned something about having to recover the right attire for her investigation of the hot springs, and would I mind checking out a place called Darkwhisper Gorge in the south.

Darkwhisper Gorge, eh?

You would not believe how much I was waggling my eyebrows whenever she mentioned that name. Sounded very promising.

Didnt turn out to be quite that exciting when I got there... or rather... a completely different kind of exciting.

You see, Darkwhisper Gorge is infested by demons. Lots of demons. They are crawling all over the place. You think Mannoroc Coven is bad? Childsplay, really. But the nice dame asked for an exploration, so explore I did. Probably cost me 20 years of my life and Im sure a few hairs on my beard turned white.

When you first get there it just appears a little strange. Snow suddenly ends and its looking warm and sooty and smells of ash and brimstone. Bit like the entrance to good ol Ironforge, I suppose.

Of course, its not quite the same. Turns out the area is filled to the brim with precious metals. Hmm... now that still does sound like Ironforge...

As much thorium mines as a dwarf could wish for. However, the area is not empty. Now just like they taught you in basic training, its always a good idea to make sure you can live through a fight - or at least make sure someone gets away to bring the information home, while you stand there and make sure they are not harmed. Hows a lone dwarf going to do that?

Yes?

Anyone?

*sigh*

Well do what any other proper army does and go and get reinforcements, obviously. So I went home and came back, with my partners and a sissy robewearer and one of those night-elf fellows with a bow and some pointy sticks.

Our plan was to get to the story behind Darkwhisper. To make sure we explored each and every corner and fished up any information we could find.

And just where did you get that picture from?

Alright. We even went fishing. There is a rather large pool down there. And it is infested by demon fish! Demon fish I tell you. Although in fairness, they probably just look like any other fish by the light of day, but in the perpetual gloom down there? With ash raining down on you? Looks a hellalot like demon fish.

Now that is more like it. A cave entrance, you see? Illuminated by pale blue torches, burning bright enough to shimmer through the sooty atmosphere. I can tell you now - we never dared enter that cave. Turned right back, there and then.

Those demons I told you about? They hounded us all the way back to the entrance of Darkwhisper Gorge. Stopped cold as soon as we ran out in the snow. Ha! Noticed that? I sometimes wonder if thats the only reason Ironforge has no demons around.

Any of you from Teldrassil? Well as far as I remember, there are Satyr running wild just outside the gates of Darnassus. Stormwind? Warlocks with the fiendish minions all over the place.

But Ironforge, Dun Morough and Loch Modan are as clean and clear as can be. No demons around our towns! And as I said.. I sometimes wonder if thats not just because of all the snow. Seems to keep demons at bay.

Now, I was trying to teach you something though, wasnt I?

Well then... the important lesson is that it doesnt matter how often you get maimed by demons in your life. With each time youll just come back wiser, stronger and more prepared. As long as your spirit is strong and youre willing to give it another go, youll just be able to come back.

And as you get stronger, you also have more success with the ladies *winks*. See, I went back to Darkwhisper Gorge this week. Mainly to drop of a bag of gold for some ransom. But thats another story. Met up with Donova again, and let me tell you - she looks just as good as she did way back then. See?

Now the demons in there arent even that much of a threat any more. If anything they seem a bit unorganized. Hardly worth the trouble, unless, of course, they have to stand right next to a valuable mining location.

This one girl, she seemed to be the head demon in there. Head demoness? Demon-queen? Doesnt matter, really. Never even offered me a pact, she did. I felt way put off. S not the weirdest thing I found in there, though. Someone seems to actually live in there. Someone friendly. Good chap, who shown an honest interest in Mining.

But seriously, the worry and despair are gone. That area is something I dont fear any more. And youll surely feel the same, soon. Dont give up with those Cultists in Mannoroc. Youll overcome them and ... well ... kick some demon butt.

You know, thinking about Darkwhisper made me realize... Ive never gone back to that Cave. The one with the blue fires? I still wonder what it leads to. Might have to go there one of these days again, when I get another day off.

Heh.

Just because Im older than you doesnt mean I get to sit at a fire with an ale all day long. There are still things need to be killed and sissy priests need protecting. Nothing changes, in the long run.

But you know, once this business in Northrend is all covered and once that other King is done playing war, maybe Ill get a few days. Pick up a few brave souls and walk back to Darkwhisper. Try and find out of there really is a path to the World Tree from the scorched Caves of Winterspring.

With a bit of luck, itll all just lead through the mountains, over a pile of gold and straight to a pleasant nightelf meadow. Something like this, really.

Yeah flowers. I wouldnt mind a bed of flowers once in a while. Might even get to bring Donova there.

The reason why Blueserver is down and close

The reason why Blueserver is down and close

"Sorry for the late announcement about what is going on. And Thanks for concerning and supporting for Blueserver. Many of the Blueserver players might wondering why the server stopped its normal operations. Since SMM Sdn. Bhd. our primary sponsor had stopped paying the hosting service fee of RM1,500 per month for 3 months our hosting guy IP ServerOne had no choice but to pull the servers out from the rack. I guess SMM and our community have very different visions in the gaming industry. At here, we as the first DotA community in Malaysia deeply appreciate the grateful and generous help and support from SMM Sdn. Bhd. in the past. And also thanks for the netizens at chinese.cari.com.my for your cheerful comments and support. There are plans for re-launching Blueserver. However our teams are still discussing to make it a better start. Please stay with us. Blueserver will be the place for real gamers to meet once again. " from http://www.blueserver.org/ blog.

RM1,500 per month I think should be ok if all the loyal blueserver member do some donation right. Im sure a lot of loyal Blueserver member would like to lend a helping hand to save the best ever Dota server in Malaysia - Blueserver (where the real gamer meet). Maybe Megablue can do a raise fund program for Blueserver to gather for each year annual fees which is RM18k. Then every year raise one time XD GG~

Please when re-open the new server, I hope that the registration will open again and all the banned player account will deleted permanently! Muahahahahahahahaha ,...,

The Full Version of Mechwarrior 4 is now Downloadable Microsoft Gives the Green Light to Mektek

The Full Version of Mechwarrior 4 is now Downloadable Microsoft Gives the Green Light to Mektek

Can you believe it? Mechwarrior 4 is now freeware!

Details of the launch after the jump.

Nearly a year ago, I wrote an article about the impending release of Mechwarrior 4 as freeware. I was then oblivious---as were the people of Mektek, who were dubbed as the distributors of Mechwarrior 4 by no other than the founder of FASA himself, Jordan Weisman---that the launch would hit a legal snag with the people at Microsoft, the Mechwarrior franchises last publisher.

Now nearly a year later (and a gazillion queries posted on the comment section of my "MechWarrior 4 Downloadable Free FPS Game Gameplay (Demo Version)" Youtube video), Microsoft finally gives the green light for the people at Mektek to release the game as a downloadable FREE PC FPS simulator game.

Let loose the juggernauts of war!

>>>The official site of Mektetk HERE (as of May 1, 2010 the site seems to be down)
